I am interested in a waterfront home on Lake Chickamauga.
If you have any info, please reply back. I am very serious about
moving there. I live in Cartersville, Ga. but we love the lake living.
Thanks!!

P: Hello , maybe your best bet is to drive around the streets, communities you woud consider. . There were signs on each lawn for sale during the winter. . We have friends in the SOUTH shore acres, & NORTH shore acres & I see different signs.
.. At the $200 mark I doubt many will be on the DEEP or Winter water level channel. I know a Very big house on the main channel went thru auction last fall about the $725 mark. .I am up by the Red Fez cove area to you wish to pvt msg. . As you know there may be numerious lots with long steep steps vs the few with level flat back yard grass., but some may have nice new docks. My friend waited 6 - 8 months for a replacement permit. So there are many questions to ask.

P: ..There is another gated street marina club you may want to look at in the low end of your $ budget.
Called a "fly fish & Bait Club " . Original cottage community , now have some enlarged , glass front houses, new club house / rec hall , sand beach / playgroung , along with covered docks for about 25 boats. Level land. ?. Know a retired couple lives there. Winter water , wind protected cove.
..Another common trend to own the house across the street from the lake & have a boat house/ dock about 100' away on a 50 x50' plot, really saves on property tax purpose.?

In Cartersville, are you presently on Lake Allatoona? That is a beautiful location!!

How married are you to the idea of Lake Chickamauga vs Lake Nickajack? This would open up your search a little...

Look up in the Middle Valley and Hixson areas. Also, there are some beautiful lakefront homes in Harrison (part of that area is actually Ooltewah). Plus, I'm told there are some new homes on Nickajack (Rarity?) near Little Raccoon Mountain.
