Veterinarians anywhere are not cheap. If you live near Lee hiway and Shallowford, try Dr. Weatherly. They do all walk-ins and no appointments and don't charge for an office visit.

Yes, we use Dr. Weatherly, and really like him. There is an emergency clinic on Amnicola, I think, if you're in need tonight. I have never been there, but if you can't wait until Monday, you might want to try it.

Best of luck. I'm so sorry your kitty is sick.

I did have to use RIVER emergency on Amnicola, and although expensive, they did a wonderful job and in a very timely manner. This clinic should only be used for emergencies during off peak hours. I took mine to Ashland on Ashland Terrace and their office call was a little pricey, but I really liked the vet. I will also now try Dr. Weatherly as no office visit is a very nice feature!

Thanks for the info about River Emergency. It's good to know where to go if the need arises.

I think you will like Dr. Weatherly. He works with another vet - can't think of his name. While he's good too, I love Dr. Weatherly. He calls after surgery and a few days after being on antibiotics. He's just really good, and it's obvious that he loves animals. Don't know what we will do when he retires.

My dog conviently got sick on a Sunday. My usual vet was closed and I called RiverVet ER but the office visit cost ALONE w/out treatment was so expensive. I ended up going to Animal Clinic East on Gunbarrel because they have Sunday hours and I was very impressed. They were very compassionate and did not pressure me at all to do things that in the past other clinics have. I have since taken all of my animals there.

This might be too late, but there's a Cat Vet Specialist over off of Cherokee Blvd by Market Street in North Shore. They are called Cat Clinic. I have a cat, and if he gets sick, that's where he will go. I do not know anything on the charges there.
