My fiancee and I are moving to Charlotte in 2 months and both of our cell phone contracts are up. We currently have Verizon. I am just wondering if the coverage is similar down there. Verizon seems to have much better coverage for us than ATT does. Let me know! thanks.

Right, so my husband has a blackberry with AT&T coverage (work phone), I have the same phone with Verizon coverage - we have competitions to see who can download the fastest - he has yet to win!!!

Stick with Verizon.....I can count the dropped calls on 1 hand in 3+ years of living here.

I've had Verizon for about 15 years. Never had any issues with their service here in Charlotte (or anywhere else in the country for that matter).

Another vote for Verizon. I had Sprint for my Blackberry previously, and could seldom use it at home.

So, to be clear, y'all are recommending Verizon?

Nope, I have Sprint. Coverage can be questionable IF you're in an older house with plaster board for whatever reason - but day in, day out.. Absolutely no problems! I haven't had dropped calls or poor data use, and the service has been good when heading north through the mountains. I have a personal beef with Verizon with from past customer service problems, my preference is to not give them my business.
