Anyone have any idea where you can buy a good old fashioned go kart in Charlotte...the kind teen boys zoom around on in wide open spaces? We have the space...and want our boys off the xbox and outside more this summer. Plenty of chores for outside, but want some more fun things too since they have outgrown the playsets and scooters.

Opinions on safety and go kart vs. small dirt bikes are welcome too!

Some boys around here were killed on an ATV this past week. Some other boys got hit by a vehicle on a go kart this past week as well. When I was growing up, my cousin had one and ran it through a old barbed wire fence like you see around a lot of the farm property around here. He still as the scar on his face as an adult.

I think they can be safe as long as they are supervised by a responsible adult.
