I think both of my a/c units are dying and I'm trying to sift through all the good/bad/expensive companies. Any input on experience, good or bad, would be appreciated.

I've already replaced coils, compressors, etc over the last few years so I may have to bite the bullet and replace.

I hear Brothers, Morris Jenkins, & Acosta do good work but are extremely expensive?

Any word on:
Dan King (yellow 'one hour' service vans)?
Charlotte Comfort Systems?
RP Heating and Air? (rpheatingandcooling.com) - recommended in another thread from the past.

Thanks.

I used McClintock's for mine and they were good. They came out and did a repair within a few hours and did not charge me any type of "express" fee.

I've used Dan King a couple times. They are fast and good, but you pay more for their promptness. I think it was like $60-$75 just to make the visit.

My AC unit just died. I'm expecting a call from McClintock HVAC in Matthews. Their BBB rating was an A+.

I would run from Morris Jenkins. They have really bad reviews everywhere you look : Morris Jenkins - Charlotte, NC

We have used Champion Heating and Air for well over 10 years. They have replaced units in two different houses for us and always done a great job at a fair price. They are small, family-owned and stay pretty busy. I think the phone number is (704) 391-2077.

We had a bad experience with Anderson Heating and Air this past week. I am awaiting a phone call from their Service Manager on Monday. We called Charlotte Comfort Systems for a second opinion and were much more satisfied with them.

Good Luck!
