They should be sent to Detroit, as a Michigan transplant I know they need all the people they can get.
Detroit isn't much different than Haiti these days so they should feel right at home.

What a great opportunity to showcase southern hospitality. And human kindness.

They are welcome to come to Charlotte. But I hope they are not looking for jobs, unemployment is now 12% in the city, even the locals can't find a job.

How long will the Haitians stay? What will they do while here? Is there any plan to help educate these people so when they do go back to Haiti they will be able to make the country better?

This is another reason why I haven't donated to any Haiti relief funds. I am already donating through my taxes.

Ding me as you feel necessary, but I think this country as a whole is in trouble on it's own but yet we will compound the problem by bringing all these victims here and support them the rest of their life and give them welfare and fee medical while American Citizens continue to lose their jobs and homes and don't dare get sick because we will not qualify for this free healthcare.

Most of the Haitians who are coming through Charlotte are heading elsewhere - this is mainly a stopover place - and maybe for once in their lives they may get some help and care.

WOW

This should make many of you people feel better.
"Dulin expects many of the evacuees will be Canadian, British and other foreign nationals using Charlotte as a stopping point to other countries. "

Just wow. I don't even know what to say.
