I think I'll wait until the next week when the forecast is closer to Christmas. It seems like the weather report changes daily.

I think that the last time we had a white Christmas was in the 1940's or something....

It would be cool, especially if it was just a light snow that melted by mid-day.

Well now MSN has changed Christmas Day to Rain. But like we've mentioned it's going to change but it is kind of exciting. We're officially on "Snow Watch" (say it dramatically like the weathermen/news casters).

The National Weather Service is calling for rain/snow this Friday.

Predictions from Charlotte Observer

Charlotte's center city: 1-2 inches.

Mint Hill: 1 inch.

Matthews, Ballantyne: 1 inch or less.

Union County, south of U.S. 74: Trace or less.

Union County, north of U.S. 74: 1 to 1.5 inches.

Anson, Richmond, Montgomery counties: None. Snow and sleet will fall at times, but no accumulations.

Cabarrus, Stanly, Rowan counties: 1-2 inches.

Northern Lancaster, York counties: 1 inch.

Southern Lancaster, Chester counties: Trace to 1/2 inch.

Gaston, Cherokee (S.C.) counties: 2 inches.

Lake Norman area, southern Iredell, Lincoln counties: 2 inches.

Iredell, Catawba, Cleveland counties: 2-4 inches.

Foothills: 3-5 inches

So when is this snow supposed to start? I have to drive to SC tomorrow late afternoon and would rather not deal with silliness on the roads.

I wouldn't mind a bit of a White Christmas here. As long as it thaws out by the 27th so it doesn't hold up our flight to San Juan that morning.

According to wunderground the are not calling for snow but ice pellets between 7am to 4 pm
