Anyone notice they constantly seem to miss the forecast for rainfall amounts. It seems its almost always overforecasted. Again today, heavy rain forecast and all we will have today is light rain /drizzle....is it just me seeing this?
I really don't understand what these guys learn at meterology school. They seem to be wrong at least as often as they are right and that is probably being generous. If I was wrong 50% of the time, I don't think I would have a job.

Well, I mean the temps are right and I am not trying to be critical. There must be a weather condition here that makes for alot of overblown forecasts..Did not see this as much in New England at all.

wait til it snows. or they make you believe it will. They will predict a blizzard
for only a dusting
and yes the schools will be closed
Instead of calling a weather forecast they should call it a weather guesstimate. Until I see it on the radar screen or out the window I don't believe it. The temps are usually decently accurate but anything to do with precipitation is iffy. I never make plans by the forecast.

from accuweather...fyi
The track this year right along the Eastern Seaboard would put the major cities on the cold, wintry side of the storms. Areas form Atlanta to Charlotte could have several snowstorms this year, which is something that this region has not seen in a while.
The Interstate 20 corridor from Dallas to Atlanta will be a strike zone for ice and snow, given the storm track and proximity to cold air. By the end of the winter, people from Dallas to the Carolinas could say "Wow, we had snow this year!" said Bastardi.
We need to wait to see what the Wooley Worms have to say about this.
LOL, I love the Wooley Worm Festival!
