Veterans Day Parade is scheduled to stage at 10th and Tryon on November 7th beginning at 6:30am. The parade will step off at 11am and will proceed on Tryon and turn on Third to finish at Marshall Park.

Home improvement retailer Lowe’s Companies will offer a 10 percent discount to active-duty, National Guard and reserve members, retirees, veterans and their immediate family members, Nov. 8 through Nov. 15, in honor of Veterans Day.
The Lowe’s discount can be used on purchases of up to $5,000, for a maximum discount of $500. It can be used only on purchases made in stores, and is not available for sales at Lowes.com. It does not apply to previous sales or purchases of services or gift cards.
Customers must present a military ID card or other proof of service.

Lowes gives these cards to their customer mailing list all the time. (10%).
Rec'd one about 2 weeks ago. Every once and a while (been one yr. for me) they get desperate and send a 20% one.The reason I remember it was I used it against a $2000 purchase.Haven't seen one of those lately.

Most of the Lowes and Home Depots that I've shopped at will give a 10% discount to me (I'm in the Army) any time that I shop there. I've received it on purchases ranging from a $10 hammer, to over $2000 in bathroom renovation supplies. :-)
