Funny you should post this. We're heading to our neighbors for a cook out, and I've been craving crab legs all day! We used to have them every Memorial Day. I'll be watching for any suggestions you get here!
Good Question. I watched Deadliest Catch today also. We'll buy frozen ones at the grocery store, other than that I think they are hard to come. As a matter of fact there are very limited GOOD seafood restaurants around here.
Was walking from the Epicentre the other day up 5th street. There was a sign on a window advertising king crab night for $23.00. There are some good seafood restaurants around.
If you want king crab from Alaska like what you see on the deadliest catch, you probably won't find it on a buffet. This stuff is high quality and fairly expensive. (get on-line) There is a lot of crab in the restaurants from Russia where there are not the same controls over where and what is caught.
I've found that most of the buffet crab here is pretty bad.
Tin Tin Chinese Buffet in Pineville - $17.99; all you can eat - including Alaskan King Crab Legs! Give it a try - they are great!
Was just there a few weeks ago, plenty of snow crab, no king crab, no king crab the 3 times I've been there.
