What are the little beige, blue, and red envelopes (with or without "papers" in them, with or without arrows on them) that are next to each thread's title/subject line on the main thread listing page of the message board? I'm sure they're there for a reason, but I can't figure out what they mean.
I know, dumb question...but could you enlighten me?

If that's a dumb question, then call me dumb because I don't know either.
If you go to the bottom of the main page that lists all the threads in a particular forum, you will see what each one means. The ones that have locks on them mean they've been closed.
OK, I knew all that...but what about the green dots? What do those mean? How do folks get those? Is there an instruction page somewhere that we all missed in our haste to share our opinions? LOL!
And if it has a lock on it, means it's closed and you can't reply to the thread.
