We are considering relocating to Charlotte area. Have a daugther entering high school on the honor track, great athlete. Wondering what Concord is like as Central Cabarrus High School has been recommended to us. Is it an area a teenager from the midwest would fit in easily

She plays travel softball so that is a factor too. While we are at it what are the top Girls Fastpitch Softball teams in the Charlotte area?

While I cannot comment to much on the schools I will say that there is so many "new kids" that I find it hard to believe she would not find some new friends.

Let me know if you need any help

My wife teaches at a middle school that feeds into Central Cabarrus HS. It's a good school, as is the system as a whole. Their girls softball team is always really strong. Good luck!!

Default does she have an elementary school she recommends

We also have a daughter entering kindergarten (our kids are 10 years apart!!). Since she is a middle school teacher does she have any suggestions on elementary schools we should look into?

Thanks for your reply and well wishes!

Rocky River Elem. would feed into into Griffin MS and Central Cabarrus HS (all good schools)

Other good zones:
Pitts Elem. and Weddington Hills Elem. (Robinson HS)
Cox Mill Elem. (NW Cabarrus HS)

My wife works at NW Cabarrus Middle school. It's her second year there. She likes it a lot.

They are building a new elementary school right behind the middle school. It will be a campus with the elementary, middle, and high school right there.

O’Dell school is getting a new building -- I had co-workers that had children there- I hear positive things. That school should funnel into Harris Road Middle -- A newer middle school in a development (Moss Creek -- I think)
