Don't know exactly when it is this year - usually the day before or after Thanksgiving, but the Christmas Tree lighting in south Park is fun, especially if kids are involed. Also, there is ice skating downtown.

I have a plan for the day after Thanksgiving.

I have heard that on that day, if I go to Lowes Motor Speedway and spend $50 at the gift shop..... they will let me take a lap in my car!!! Weather permitting... the 68 corvette is going to Lowes!

tree lighting is actually on Thanksgiving night.

Since this is a banking town, most of us will be working the day after Thanksgiving.

I went to Lowes Motor Speedway today and had an absolute blast!! (Didnt even take the corvette) A lot of good stuff was priced at giveaway... bought a few caps ($1) and t-shirts (2 for $5), donated $25 to charity and took 3 laps around the big track. I highly recommend this!! Put a permagrin on my face.
