The Counter is becoming a very popular spot. IMO it has some of the best burgers in town (and their shakes are excellent as well).

I try new combinations every time we go and I have not been disappointed. You completely customize everything about your burger.

Try the Sweet Potatoe fries...YUM!

I couldn't enjoy the hamburger because swallowing the price was too hard I mean you could literally end up paying $12.00 FOR A HAMBURGER!

I agree that it is a bit pricey but damn, they do make a tasty burger. I was not impressed with the milkshake I know that they didn't use real chocolate ice cream because I saw the lady pouring the Hershey's syrup into it.

I liked the 50/50 fries/rings side but at those prices the items shouldn't be ala carte.

Huh? 1/3 Burgers are $7.95 with 4 toppings/cheese/sauce/bun.

The $12 burger is 1 pound of meat AFTER cooking. I will bet you the $12 that there is no way you could finish it if you got a few toppings!

You would have to get 4 premium toppings on a standard burger to get to $12.

WEll, that's what I was talking about - the 4 premium toppings. We happen to like a lot of stuff on our hamburgers.

I also happen to think $8.00 is too much to pay for a burger.

Try it naysayers...

The Counter is beside Design Within Reach & Crate and Barrel at Southpark on Sharon.

It is absolutely our favorite burger in town.
Lately we have been going there after church on Sunday - weird I know.

The Counter is pricey, but you cannot compare it to a fast food McBurger for $3.
Their $10-12 burger is like an X-large burrito at a Mexican restaurant - filling beyond compare.

We usually get the half&half onion rings and fries - yummy.
