I am very happy to have moved from Bklyn, NY to Charlotte. I've been here since November 2007. I don't currently have a car, but live one block from the Light Rail Station. However, I am used to taking public transportation coming from NY, so the light rail is a releif. I have 3 kids...8, 6, and 5 mths. Can anyone give me advice on camps and activities, also...any resources for job hunting, or any leads you may have. My sister (who also lives here) told me about this site and said it was very helpful! Any ideas, comments, opinions, or advice is welcome! Thanks!!!!!

There's quite a few camps, YMCA, YWCA, many church camps, etc. Also I great place I like to take my daughter who is 8 is to discovery place, we always have a blast.
Regarding jobs, what do you or did you do in NY? What is your preference or what would you like to do?

First off all welcome to Charlotte.
BTW $70 a month buys you unlimited Bus Local & Express & Lynx.
Definitely get a family membership to discovery place, well worth it. Also gets you in to the nature museum in Myers Park.
