I'm not sure how much cosmetic work he does. As I've said, he has fixed my chipped teeth and has put some sort of stuff on them to make the front teeth whiter. When my kids were little, he sent them to an orthodontist to have their bites improved and to straighten their teeth. I know that he works to stop people from grinding their teeth at night.

As far as keeping up with what is current in dentistry, I've never asked him. I do suspect that he keeps up with his profession simply because he's so intelligent and curious about everything else in our world. Also, my husband, a biochemist, is very inquisitive about what our doctors and dentists do, so I would guess that if he passed the "husband" tests he is OK.

Look, if you are interested in him, I'm pretty sure that he would candidly answer any questions that you asked him either over the phone or in his office. Tell him that Barbara (of Barbara and Tom from UNCC) suggested that you call. PM me if you want more info.

Not to pit Barb's dentist against mine, LOL, but Dr. Palermo does do beautiful work. I want to have veneers done by him but have to wait to get my last kid thru college!!

LOVES, I guess that since we've stopped disagreeing about Charlotte issues we need to find something to keep the blood flowing in our veins.

Yeah right! I propose the next discussion be "my vet is better than your vet", LOL!

Except, my dear, I have neither cat nor dog. I gave the turtles away when my daughter went to college (so I could have my guest bathtub back) and now have only my three goldfish in the pond along with their froggy friends who rarely need a vet.

So hey, my vet wins - by default!

MJ's gonna think we have lost our minds MJ, there really are some great dentists in this city, I'm sure you'll find one you really like - maybe even Dr. Johnson or Dr. Palermo!
