Why did you leave (I assume work) and where did you go?

Relocated to CA for career and family. Job is good and being closer to aging parents is a good thing right now. Down the road, however, we will be back in Charlotte! Great city with all the amenities of larger metro and great weekend access to so many neat places (Charleston, Savannah, Hilton Head, Blue Ridge, Atlanta, Greenville, lakes,...just to name a few), and great airport that easily gets you to New York, Chicago, and DC. Liked all of the distinct areas including South End, Dilworth, Cotswold, SouthPark, Uptown, Ballantyne, and Plaza Midwood.

I have enjoyed everywhere we have lived (AZ, TX, CA, NC), spent considerable time (PA, IL), or traveled - but Charlotte was our favorite. We lived in the SouthPark area. Green, clean, beautiful neighborhoods with winding streets, rolling elevations, amazing tree canopies, beautiful azaleas and wisteria, and beautiful brick homes. Thunderstorms, fire flies, and tea in summer. I could go on...

Wannabe, where are you now? Nevermind, I posted this before seeing your previous post.
