There are truck depots in various areas. Is he an owner operator or does he work for a company? If he works for a company is that company located in Charlotte or a nearby city?
What kind of agent does one hire to find a rental? A realtor? No realtor is going to spend the time helping someone find a rental when they get virtually no commission.
Sorry, but I strongly disagree! Im in the market of helping people...rentals and buyers! I've helped dozens of people with rentals, only to have gained their trust and loyalty years down the road! If you're in the real estate industry and can't look past the immediate commission, then I think you've just shot your future business right out the door. Renters deserve to be represented just as much as buyers, we even have specific laws in North Carolina for that purpose. You give a lot of great information and advice on this website, so I do hope this is a position that you will change your mind about! If you ever need a specific agent to handle your rental real estate needs, feel free to PM me..and no this is not self promotion, just wanting to persuade your opinion.

You're the exception. 99.9% of realtors won't be of any help in finding a rental.
I'm from Philly & new York is by far higher on rent, sooo me saying that money wise you'll get more here for your buck in Charlotte "land" for playing or what ever.
Nice areas that I like " Indian trails, stallings, south Charlotte, Matthews" stay away from Monroe in my opinion coming from up north. Lol its not bad but even slower in Monroe. Where I live at in south Charlotte, I'm 7mins from south Carolina.
I know because I'm a third generation realtor (although personally no longer in the business) and am a past owner of rental houses.
What has your experience been with finding a rental through a realtor?
Though I'm not the OP, I didn't have any problem finding a rental through a realtor when we were moving back to the area and needed one. This was also almost 4 years ago and he was a referral. The realtor was a guy that had been in the business 30 years and did it all.
