Please build a Trader Joes in the new shopping area on the corner of Albemarle Road and 51.
I know a Bogangles is going in but how healthy is Bogangles? Not at all! Who's going to eat there and be able to live a long healthy life?
That'd probably be good for the area, but not sure the current demographics would support it, although since there isn't another one close by you'd probably have people that would drive to it. I think I saw that at one point TJ's relative Aldi was supposed to go in there but apparently not anymore.
The three supermarkets I can see occupying that space are either a Walmart Neighborhood Market, Harris Teeter/Kroger, or a Publix. I could be wrong, but I don't think Food Lion nor Bi-Lo are in the best of condition for expanding right now.
Yeah don't think Food Lion's been expanding and although "Bi-Lo Holdings" has been buying up every chain in sight I don't think they've built new stores, and they don't seem very interested in Charlotte anyway.
Publix/HT could be a possibility I guess but the planned Publix across from the HT isn't very far away.

People like me who are physically active almost every day of the week who practice moderation in indulging our less than healthy food desires. It's true that America's diet plays a roll in the increasing amount of obesity and diabetes. However, staying active on an almost daily basis has allowed me to eat almost whatever I want without gaining weight. Simply consuming Bojangles will not make you unhealthy; It takes an entire lifestyle of ill health to do that.
Maybe a TJ's at The Bridges could make sense (if that ever opens). But I can't visualize one opening on the EastSide. They'd probably open one in Huntersville before doing that.

Bi-Lo seems to be making a southern retreat out of the Charlotte area.
