My husband and I will be coming to Charlotte next week (19-23) to check out the city for a possible relocation. We will be traveling with our two daughers (almost 1 and 4) and want them to have fun on the trip. I found the following activities...what is worth going to, what should we skip, any other suggestions? Also, any easy hiking trails on nearby mountains?
Stowe Botanical Gardens
Discovery Place
Lazy 5 Ranch
Charlotte at Play
ImaginOn
Tree lighting at Southpark mall
Thanksgiving parade
Definite Charlotte at Play
the Parade and maybe the tree lighting
and Lazy 5 Ranch the ranch should take between one and two hours.
I question the other items due to I dont think the kids are old enough to appreciate the other items listed.
Discovery Place is great for kids that age. I lived in Charlotte for 5 years but never made it to the botanical gardens. Lazy 5 is fun but is definitely a half-day activity at least.
A great family outing but the lights don't turn on until November 30th.
Opps, so used to hearing Chistmas music since Nov. 1st, I forgot!
