Unfortunately, it will be most crowded on Saturday, so just arrive early! Yes, it is much more than gawdy handcrafted stuff

I hate to be negative, but I used to like it very much; however, I feel that it's gotten much more commercialized in the past hew years with fewer and fewer quality handmade crafts. My husband and I just decided that we wouldn't go this year. Maybe I've gone to it too many times and have become jaded.

That said, I loved the first shows many years ago and maybe if i were new in town would still love it. I do think that you can always trust Loves' opinion.

Aren't you sweet! Maybe I just haven't gone as many times as you Barb, so the appeal hasn't worn thin with me yet? That did happen to me with the Southern Women's Show a few years ago.

I had a blast! But I agree, it was a wee bit commercialized.

But, I enjoyed every minute of it and got a lot of presents out of the way and I got some great decorations for me.

You definatley should go!

Well I am sure since it is called the "Southern Christmas Show", someone will want to have it shut down. Southern and Christmas are two dirty words as far as some people are concerned.

Listen to the newcomers and the young people. I think I do easily tire of everything but the Stowe Botanical Gardens and the Craft Council Show - wow, am I getting old!!!!

newhomesalesrep is right about buying good gifts and Christmas decorations. Unfortunately, I more than exhausted my gift budget at the American Craft Council Show at the beginning of this month. That's a show I never tire of.

Me too! Much more so than with the Christmas show.
