My family LOVES going. It's becoming a tradition. Although I don't think many Christmas gifts are purchased, it's still fun to go and see what all is there.

I took my mother who was visiting this pass weekend and I loved it. It was my first time and I loved the home made handcraft. It was a little bit commercialized, nevertheless I thought it was enjoyable. Be prepared to walk very slowly due to the large crowds. I made several purchases and wish I could've really enjoyed browsing, but my mother tire easily and was ready to go. My biggest disappointments that they did not have any African ornaments. One boothe had 3 black santa claus wreathe and I snatched one up. It cost a pretty penny, but was well worth it. Oh, yeah the food is terrible. Eat before you go unless you like greasy food.

My wife and I went to the show this past weekend. We had a pretty good time. She was very disappointed in the lack of "hand made" crafts however. As other posters mentioned, it is very commercial.

If you want much more of the handcrafted items, then I suggest that you stop by the Craftsmen's Christmas Classicâ„¢ Arts & Crafts Festival next week at the Greensboro Coliseum. This one brings in people from all over.

Yeah, I never buy much either. But I LOVE the model train set-up and there's so many fun things to see.

I'm sitting at work looking at the vacation schedule for the rest of the year. Can anyone recommend what day of the week is best to go to the show? I've been on a Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (Veteran's Day) and all were packed. Was thinking of trying Tuesday or Wednesday this year.
