Hello,

I am relocating my family to Charlotte in the next 45 days and need help identifying quality public schools for my children, ages 12, 10 and 9. We currently live in Chesapeake, Va and the schools here are amazing!

Ideally, I would like to relocate close to northeastern Charlotte (near IBM Drive), but I am also considering Indian Trail. Your thoughts and recommendations are very much appreciated!

-Craig

I don't have kids, but I would not like commuting from Indian trail to northeast Charlotte (University City area). If you're not comfortable with CMS (Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools) then pick something a few miles further northeast in Cabarrus County. The town of Harrisburg is not a bad commute into Mecklenburg and it's a growing area.

Look into the Cabarrus County side of Highland Creek or the surrounding neighborhoods.

I agree with and echo the previous posters - Cabarrus County. Great schools, close to your work area. Harrisburg is a 10 - 15 (at most) min commute to IBM drive.

I second this. Cox Mill or Odell are good schools.
