folger kia has a special finance department just like crossroads. also maybe try the bigger dealerships like keffer or rick hendrick because they have connections to soo many banks.
The best way to buy a car and not be ripped off is to shop around for a car a private owner is selling. You may see one parked in a yard or even craigslist. Being able to spot junk is a requirement though.
I went to crossroads, a little too bit far away from town to be honest.
They said the process was taking way too long and they would call me today (code word for = we're not going to finance you)
If they don't approve you or really can't buy a car cash privately, you might be stuck going to those buy here pay here. There is one on North Tyron, Independence Auto Solutions, LLC. A friend of mine who was struggling with finances managed to get a car there last month. This should be the last drastic solution though. If you can use public transportation and save up for a cheap car from a private seller, it's the way to go.
I already found a vehicle, now I'm struggling with Insurance.... it's way too expensive, near the $200/mo and that's only INSURANCE... I would pay for the car about $400/mo
That's $600/mo only in car + insurance, let alone gas, food, rent and utilities.
200 a month for insurance...WOW! You must have plenty of points is all I can figure.
