Myers Park/Dillworth/Elizabeth, etc (house, established neighborhood, schools)

hi everyone

Have done a lot of reading on these boards...Thanks

We have narrowed our search to south charlotte...want an older home, walk places and great schools...these areas seem to fit the bill...our concern (like most) is the schools....are we guaranteed the ability to go to the neighborhood school? Ie Selwyn? In these older established neighborhoods is it less likely that the school boundaries are redrawn?

Also, property taxes....if we are interested in a house for 750000 what is the likely assessed value?

Any thoughts on these neighborhoods? all comments appreciated...kinds of people etc

As for schools you are gauranteed your home school but not if you want to go to another one. All the neighborhoods you mentioned are very nice.
