I am not aware of any apt complex in the South Park area having a high concentration of Indians, though I know Indians do live in the general area.

For a 2 bedroom in that area expect to pay closer to $1000 and up. I would suggest you look at Alexander Place and Strawberry Hill for starters

Many Indians live in the apartment complexes near the Wells Fargo (formerly Wachovia) office center in the University area.

Do you want to live with them or avoid them? If you want to live with them, you will be better off looking in the University area or the South Boulevard area. The University area is much more ethnically diverse with the university and South Boulevard has a good mix as well. If you want to avoid them, Southpark may be the best choice. Unfortunately, a budget of $800-$1100 for a two bedroom apt. with a garage may not be found in the Southpark area. Most of the Indian population in the Southpark area tend to intermingle into the neighborhoods and condos but there are some there.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think university area must be the good choice b'coz i would like to live with indian community. i have heard that there r more indians in Strawberry Hill apt but there is no garage facility. Can some one suggest some good apts in university area with attached garage facility. I am also happy to live in townhouse type apartments.

yup.. a lot of desi folks in the north.. university area.. South Park is ranked very pricey amoung Indian community.. though you can find a couple here and there in alexander place, hamptons at southpark, colony apartments and so on.. and when I lived there, everyone raised eyebrows as though i was stupid to commute from southpark.. but i wanted to live away

if you go further south near Ballantyne you'll find some desi concentration there too..

but, nothing beats the north. there are so many very desi apartment communities in the university area.. not sure which one offers garage though.. but if you want townhomes, the townhomes right behind the Cakes & Flakes area has a lot of indians.

hope that helps!

edit: just remembered that in the south, arboretum apartments has a few indians and they also offer garage.
