OB/GYN that takes Medicaid? (Charlotte, Durham: insurance, income, live in)

Does anyone know of an OB/GYN in the Charlotte area that takes Medicaid insurance? We're looking for one as we are 99% sure we are preggers but have no insurance and are low-income right now.

And please, if you have a rude or unrelated remark, please keep it to yourself. I do not have time to be weeding through them as I've had to do in previous threads I've posted .

You should be able to go the NC Medicaid website and get a listing. My mother is on Medicaid, but I live in SC. She goes to a clinic that accepts Medicaid and they handle all kinds of medical issues there.

My SIL lives in Durham and she had no insurance when she got pregnant with her 4th child and her local hospital helped her get Medicaid and the help and prenatal treatment she needed. Maybe you can call your closest hospital - they might give you good leads. Good luck and congrats.

Um, why not contact the Medicaid office in your county? Seems like a reasonable first step.

Many places accept Medicaid, but are not accepting any new Medicaid patients so it is hard to find a doctor. The following offices accept Medicaid. Hopefully one of these works out for you. If not, I can try to find a few more! Good luck to you and Congrats!
