I am an international student at UNCC graduating this December. After I am done with this semester, I will need only one course to take to graduate, which is only offered in the Fall semester. I don't want to take any elective, I am already done with my electives plus I am pursuing two degrees (Accounting and Finance). I want to do something productive, something I can put on my resume when I go back to my home country. I have applied to many companies looking for internship. They all rejected me when they knew I am leaving the US after my graduation despite my high GPA because they look for interns who they might hire when they graduate. Since I have a student visa I can't do any work where I get paid. I can only volunteer. I also like to translate, I am fluent in speaking and writing in two languages if that might help you for an idea what to do . So please folks help me making my summer more productive.

Some of the smaller towns might appreciate some help. It wouldn't hurt to call around.

in summer in Charlotte?.. sweat alot....just kidding...I could not help myself.
I hear there is some lady trying to get her kid in private school.
Apparantly she is not having much luck. https://www.city-data.com/forum/charl...prejudice.html
You could be a tudor to her child. Maybe you could get the family the inside info on the entry exam.
I would maybe look into some of the non-profit type places like the various museums or the Discovery Place. They usually offer unpaid internships, and if you can't get an internship related to your field, you should at least be able to just volunteer.
I sent it to my husband - his company takes summer interns sometimes. You could DM me with some more information I will let you know if he has any feedback.
Great first post. I agree. Just don't eat the fish around here.
