Trying to find an area to live in Cabarrus County (due to schools and lower taxes) that is a reasonable commute to both Uptown (husband) and Concord (me). I was looking at a map and wondering if there are nice areas just over the Meck line in Cabarrus, off of Route 73? Looking for mature neighborhoods, close to restaurants, shops, etc. and good schools are a must. We have a budget of $250-$300 for a 4-5 BR. Also want a nice, family-oriented subdivision.
I'd try Highland Creek. The Meck/Cabarrus border runs through the community, so they'll have houses in both counties. I'm pretty sure you'd be able to find a resale on the Cabarrus side in your price range. there's still new construction going on in there, but some of the sections are more well established.
Highland Creek is the first one that pops to mind. There are a few others around the outskirts of the neighborhood. The re-sale over there is strong too.
Hello, from the clients I have dealt with Moss Creek would come to my mind, as well as The Farm at Riverpointe. These subdivisions are going towards Huntersville, and start around 185k and go up to around 400k. Also the Harrisburg area would work also.

Reason: realtor advertising
Thanks for all the suggestions- I actually checked out Highland Creek (specifically the homes in Cabarrus) yesterday, and really liked it! I also saw Moss Creek, but it's really not what we're looking for- Skybrook is beautiful, but they only have one house below $300K (which doesn't have a yard!)
I haven't explored Harrisburg yet...
Thanks again!
