Thinking of buying a house in the neighborhood. Safety, what the neighborhood is like, HOA. Do you like living there?

We just moved out of Cabarrus Crossing 2 months ago after living there for 2 years. We only moved because we had to move out of state. Our home there sold after 4 months on the market so we got lucky. We enjoyed living there. We never had any problems with crime and my son felt very safe at the middle school, Harris Road. It was a quiet neighborhood and the homes are not so much on top of eachother like in some similar neighborhoods. We enjoyed having the lowes shopping center, vet, schools and gas station all within 2 or 3 minutes away. 85,77, concord mills and the better shopping and restaurants in Huntersville were only 10 to 15 minutes away, but the traffic in those areas drove me nuts sometimes so I was glad to not have to deal with that on a daily basis. The Renassaince Festival weekends were a different story. But thats only once a year. Some people complained about the overall look of the neighborhood and some people do not take care of the yards like they should. But to be honest, the homes were inexpensive there and I feel that if you want more, you pay more. For us the pros outweighed the cons. By the way, our homeowners fees were 37 dollars a month. Hope I could help you.

We've live in Cabarrus Crossing since 2004 and really enjoy its convenience to Huntersville and Concord. I haven't heard about any safety issues and I feel very safe here. The neighborhood does have a few homes that don't seem to take care of their yards and people do complain to the HOA about it, but nothing ever seems to change. We haven't had any issues with neighbors or noise except for a loud party when we first moved here, but it's been quiet ever since. There are some good deals around here right now...I would definitely recommend it, especially for the lower Cabarrus Co. taxes.
