A week or two. What type of work are you looking for? I'm leaving a job.

I had several job offers within a week - my husband took a few months.

The market has changed significantly since 98 when I moved down here.

there are almost 1300 customer service/rep jobs posted on Careerbuilder in the last 30 days: Job Search Results on CareerBuilder.com

there are 63 chef jobs posted in the last 30 days: Job Search Results on CareerBuilder.com

I don't think you'll have a problem. Just start applying now, why wait until you get here?

We both came down for jobs, actually--my other half was offered a job two hours after I was. It was definitely a weird, but very cool, situation.

Her contract was only for three months however, and she now has another job, after a five month break. The money she made over the course of the first three months paid for getting us down here, though, so it all worked out.
