I leave at 7:00 from Huntersville I'm in Steele Creek in 30 minutes. I haven't had a problem in the morning at all. The afternoon is a wild card and I have 3 escape routes.

I leave around 6:55-7:00am from the Speedway area of Concord and am at Arrowood Road by 7:30am. Its not too bad, coming home is worse b/c I'm always working late. I take 85 south to 485 and I think its really relaxing also, especially in the morning. But there is always that window of time in the morning (or afternoon) where if you are just a couple of minutes behind, it can throw off your whole day.

Now if I can just figure out why everone drives home 2 cars on Friday afternoons.....

Hope that helps!
Nicole

Does CATS have an express bus from Waxhaw?
From Fort Mill to exit 2, how long does that take you? That will be my commute soon.

Depends on what PART of Charlotte you are talking about.
I live in Concord, can get to uptown in 1/2 hour to 45 minutes in rush hour, and that's avoiding 85 and 77.
Harrisburg to uptown would probably be 20 minutes to 40 minutes avoiding 77 and 85 both.

I find it much more timely to reach uptown from the Concord/Harrisburg area
by taking 29 or 49.

But...again you did not state what part of Charlotte.

Some of these commute times seem way low from my (limited) experience with Rt77 and Rt485. Just curious are these numbers all inclusive, meaning door to desk or just from one exit to another on the highway?

By the way I hate Rt485, no matter when I get on it, it's screwed up......
