I live in Charlotte's city limits. My neighbors are Laotian. I know their customs are different but their chicken's are driving us crazy. Does anyone know the city ordinace on chickens ? I really don't mind them having a few chickens but at the time there must be 40 of them running around the yard. Please help if you know the ordinance.

some 10 years ago a friend of mine (who lives pretty much in uptown Charlotte!) also had oriental neighbors with chickens...oh well, small world, could it be the same family
chicken is considered a farm animal, and if the zoning is not farm that means they are violating the ordinance. Sooner or later they got a yellow letter from the city.
but my friend also had 2 dogs...so I don't know if it was the city or the dogs (who did take a bite)...but they got rid of them
clothes and pet collars for chickens maybe some cute hats and instead of dog tags it would be chicken tags shaped like fried chicken leg.
oooo I see a chik fil a commercial here. speaking of they are cruel to have someone dress in a cow outfit outside of their buisness on a 90 degree day.
You probably can call 311 and ask them what to do. I can see where that would be a problem. If all else fails, there's a Tyson Plant on 74 in Monroe, maybe they do pickups!!!
