Is it cheaper to go all the way to Rock Hill or just stop at Carowinds?

Most of the ones bought in SC ARE ILLEGAL TO USE HERE.....You can buy your kiddie fireworks at many local stores here.

Carowinds Blvd in Fort Mill. Keep in mind...if you live in NC...most fireworks are illegal and you can be fined up to $500 or jailed (per WBTV News last night)...so be careful if you live in NC.

There is no such thing as "the good stuff" at the SC fireworks stores. Real M-80s, cherry bombs, ball busters, etc have all been unavailable for at least 25 years and nobody makes them or sells them now. If someone hands you something they claim is one of these, then it is either a fake or it was homemade and you risk losing an appendage or something if you mess with it.

Don't be confused by M-80 "brand" firecrackers. It's just a marketing item.

The only reason for going to SC for firecrackers is to buy the stuff that is legal there but illegal in NC. If you are not interested in this stuff, then it's not worth the money to travel to by fireworks at those stores on the state line. They are pretty expensive. There legal stuff, basically most things that don't explode like sparklers, can be bought all over Charlotte.
