I am moving to Charleston in June for 6 months..on a business trip. I am a 23 year old guy who just recently graduated college. I am looking for a place to live which is close to night life and the younger crowd. Where would you recommend staying, in terms of an apartment / condo? Any help would be much appreciated!
James Island is a great place, as it is a lot of fun to live, and there's lots of good apartments on the island which are 10 minutes from downtown and the beach, which is really good.
James Island or Mount Pleasant. Get into an apartment complex with a nice pool/amenity package. Visit the apartments around 3:00 in the afternoon. If there are lots of young people, that's when they show up for pool time. You'll have an idea of what kind of young people are in that complex & area.
You know you are old when you use 'young people' in a sentence and mean 23 year olds <G>.
