if i was going to elope here...i would do it in spring at middleton place. i think there is an inn there too you can stay in. check it out....

or i saw some beautiful outdoor spots at charleston landing near the legare house or cypress gardens in the swamp gardens. or of course the beach!

Hampton Park downtown, Battery Park downtown, Folly beach, IOP, Sullivans, Middleton Plantation, Drayton Hall, Boone Hall, there's so many to choose from. I prefer the beach locations though...my wife's informed me that's where we're getting married next time.

She didn't react to favorably when I asked if I could bring a date.

Husband and I got married on Folly Beach and rented Pelican Watch Shelter for reception. Wouldn't change a thing about that day! We used A Charleston Beach Wedding (google it) and you can look at Charleston Rec for shelter information. Hope that helps

I think that Middleton Place in the spring.. is beautiful!!...its romantic and the staff at the inn can arrange special packages....especially for a honeymoon....my favorite place in Charleston! A place to be married..!!! and to remember...
