I was thinking the other day and I'm in my late 40's and always loved the older celebs. There are many left and that is sad. I remember when people like Lucy or Jack Benny died the news would cut in and do these special shows about their lives. You don't see that as much now unless Larry King does it. Who in Music or acting is left that you feel their passing will impact people or make the news.
Paul and Ringo
Peter, Paul, and Mary (Mary has cancer)
Pete Seger
Carol Burnett
Brian Wilson
Bob Dylan
Joan Biaz
Ann or Nancy Wilson
Lena Horne
Tony Bennett
Streisand
Either of the two remaining Gibb brothers
Cheech or Chong (just kidding)
Bill Cosby
Debbie Reynolds
Kirk Douglas (or is he gone already?)
Sophia Loren
Connie Francis and Brenda Lee
Mickey Rooney
Liza Minnelli
Elizabeth Taylor
Queen Elizabeth
Dolly
And when "J.J." Jimmy Walker dies, well we just all might as well check out, too. LOL! P.S. I listed some relatively young ones with John Denver, and Michael Landon (and now Patrick Swayze) in mind-ya never know!

Wow some of these people I didn't know were alive. Bert Renyolds is one that comes to mind. Liza with a Z as well. Elisabeth Taylor is one I'm surprised is still here. Unfortualy as we well know athis time next year a few will be gone. I really respect the older ceebs as they pathed the way for those now. Mary Tyler Moore is one I will be sad about.

Harry Morgan
Karl Malden
Efram Zimbalist, Jr
Alan Young(Wilbur on "Mr. Ed")

Reason: edit
Dick Clark. Definitely. He didn't "invent" rock 'n' roll but he's responsible for getting it out there in tv land. He increased communication for it in American music, networked the artists into getting their faces out there, too. We owe much to him and I hope he's memorialized accordingly when he's gone.
oh wow, so bad of me to leave him off the list.
Met him once, along with his wife. Talked to them for awhile. He was in town to host the Miss USA and I met him . He and wife were super nice. He's very short!!
