Well, I drank booze and even tried weed, so did a lot of my friends...........and we are now grown adults with jobs, pensions, grandchildren, etc. Drinking aclcohol [3:2 beer] was legal for 18 year olds back then.

I am 57 now and most of the people I know or grew up with at least tried weed when they were Miley's age........... and it didn't destroy anyone's life.

Now alcohol, yes, one of my brother's friends became an alcohilic.......and that would have happened whether he had his first drink at 18 or 21. His father was an alcoholic and one of his younger brothers became an alcoholic too.

I really don't care, either. It's her life, and if she wants to ruin it and become another drug-addict like Lindsay Lohan, then she can go right on ahead. Why should we care? She's the one who is getting herself into more crap, pretty soon she'll just be another celebrity who is going to be pushed out of Hollywood and someone else will take her place. She's being a bad influence on children.

I have known quite a few people, including myself, that drank alcohol and smoked a few joints at her age. That does not automatically mean you are going to turn into an addict for life.

People her age are known to sew a few wild oats, it is just that most people are not in the spotlight when they do it.

People should just give the poor girl a break and allow her to go through the rites of passage that a lot of young people go through without automatically labeling her as a full blown drug addict.

College campuses are full of kids her age doing the exact same things she is doing and the vast majority of them will go on to lead normal lives.

People should take the pressure off of her or she will be turning to alcohol/drugs because she NEEDS them to cope instead of it just being a phase.

My god, people. What she did isnt a big deal. It is unfortunate she got recorded but she smoked a perfectly legal substance in the privacy of a home. She did nothing wrong.

Salvia is far safer than smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol or even smoking weed. It only last a few minutes and goes away.

Regardless, she doesnt need to withhold from experiencing life, especially when she is in a home and not out in public.

Anyone passing judgment needs to look in the mirror before doing so.
