This is a terrible picture of Daisy under the area rug in our living room ( I forgot to turn on the flash ) but for some reason she has this thing for carpets and other things she can get under. If I am laying on the couch napping with a comforter over me, I will feel her start to climb under it, and then she takes a nap under there. Very funny cat.

By the time I got the flash turned on she had come partially out to see what was up.

Daisy is very pretty (I love Calicos & Torties). I have a 'burrower' too. Gypsy likes to crawl under the furniture covers to sleep, which sort of makes the covers useless. Had to start putting on 2 covers, one close fitting and one loose fitting so she can get between the two. Funny thing is, she didn't really start doing this until after my wife passed away. She was Momma's Girl and was constantly curled up in her lap, and really missed her when she was gone. Anyway, if I want to find her I always check the furniture for lumps first because that's usually where she is.
not my cat but lots of snow here in North Carolina.
Sorry to hear you're getting hammered over there. We got ours here in Kansas a week ago this past Tuesday and with it a polar dome of cold air in the zero to 12 deg range that lasted for 8 days. It started warming up yesterday and the week and a half old snow is finally starting to melt. Hope you weather the storm ok and don't lose power & heat. Take care.
We're gettin' hammered here with snow, which is unusual. Makin' the best of it, though!
(this thing is like 6 feet long)
