They look so fierce when they're waking up and yawning, when in reality they're blobs of languid furry warmth.

Default Christmas came early

Meet Jingles, our 4 week old kitten found in an empty lot and weighing 4 ounces. 9 days later she has more than doubled her weight! Instead of wobbling, he/she is pouncing. After being wee'd and poo'd on, a litter pan has been successfully used for two days now. Things are looking up!

Bless you for saving this tiny kitty. I know the love will be returned many times over.

Ain't it the truth? Those fangs could do some real damage, but they don't.

Aww Jingles! Love black kitties!! When I adopted Joe (he's just a regular guy! LOL) the shelter told me they are the last to be adopted - he was the ONLY kitten they had left and that was the 2nd time that happened. The first black kitten I adopted had to be euthanized according to their rules because he was FIV/leukemia positive =( so he never made it home with me - they don't test until someone adopts then they refund the $. Sick process imo and I was heartbroken, but then a few weeks later I got over myself and returned and only Joe was left so I brought him home to a snarling Orion - humph, ungrateful boy!

Joe's one handsome kitty! I hope Jingles will look like him. So sad that black cats aren't getting the love.

I have, ahem, three other cats and wasn't even thinking of another cat at this point. An animal loving friend upon learning we have another cat said: "You know everything happens for a reason, who are we to decide?" She's right and I knew exactly what would happen when I went to see what the noise was about. I'm happy I did.

I've had several black cats and at least 2 black dogs. I always went by personality and not color. There is nothing more beautiful than a healthy black cat with silky shiny fur. I love Joe and Jingles.
