A litter was born out in the garage at least 2 months ago. They are fully weaned and eating solid food so I brought them in and am getting them socialized. Since these are all males I suspect it will be easy to find them homes. I'll be bringing them to the vet for a check up and first shots then put up some pictures in the local community center and believe they will find homes quite fast. We do insist potential takers agree to have them neutered and we will pay for that if they can not afford it.
Not really. I have ulterior motives.I get to enjoy kittens for a week or 2.
When you live in a rural area and have a few out buildings, feral or drop off cats seem to come with the territory. While some are welcome as they keep the rodent population down. too many are not.
I just saw the opportunity to enjoy a few kittens for a few weeks and then pass them off to those who desire to have a permanent friend. Just glad I was able to catch these 5. Quite often this time of year any outdoor kittens, do not survive the weather.
I do foster care for the shelter here and also get to have kittens and give them to good home after a while...the best of both worlds...I have two now that are 3 months or so but are too skinny and I'm fattening them up... https://www.city-data.com/forum/attac...1&d=1362842024

I agree it is the best of both world's. A win-win deal in which everybody including the kittens, gain.
Woodrow - I should change my nick to "technically challenged". It just would not work this morning. Now is real work time for me. How are the babies? I labeled this one "do not disturbed". She was actually in a pretty good mood:>) This big and generally down to earth cat has one silly nspot - the tip of her tail is blonde! It does not go with the rest of the story.
