I have a couple of stuffed animal cats, one a small tiger. The other is larger and white. He got a bit dirty and I noticed his head where most of it went looked odd, like it was licked. Then I noticed two of my adult cats were carefully cleaning him. He sits on the bed with them now and stays nice and clean.
I imagine that the toys are coming from people's homes, since cat doors & in/out cats are common in the UK. At the risk of using that tired old pun, it seems this cat really is a 'cat burglar'.
One of my friend's cats does the same (not quite on the same scale though). My friend is used to finding socks, stuffed animals and even boxer shorts in her house, brought home by her cat

LOL!
Milly is a really cute kitty, and so is Timi the tabby tiger borrower!
