Now I have!
The only sad thing about this story is - the cat's abuse may have been at the hands of other soldiers. But why go there?
Anybody who opens the link should also check out the article about the dog who crawled out from the wreckage of its home while its human was being interviewed! I'd already seen that one - great tale! But (as usual) a cat went a dog one better in that department. Someone was talking to a TV reporter after the big tornado hit Tuscaloosa a couple of years ago, only to have her cat who'd been missing for three weeks happen on the scene.

Yes I saw the video of the woman being interviewed and her dog's head appeared out of the wreckage. These are beautiful stories and I'm glad little Koshka is safe. Sometimes I think people feel more comfortable showing emotion with animals. They are completely non-judgemental.

Well the cat was abused and it was on a base full of soldiers. I can see why the other poster mentioned it.

What a great story! It is so nice to see something positive and uplifting. It's just a shame that the cat had to suffer any abuse at all. This guy and his family did a wonderful thing by getting the cat out of a dangerous situation.

Being the cat was on an US army base I doubt the abusers were Afghans or Peruvians or Russians or Poles or Bolivians or.......

You obviously know next to nothing about US army bases in Afghanistan.

As a Vet of WW11 and Korea I guarantee that any cat on base would be spoiled rotten....plenty of affection....good food and a nice bunk to sleep on.

We had one cat that was on a bed during barracks inspection by an officier and was told by the NCO it was our pet.......NO Problem other then to make sure things were clean (you know what I mean).

Thank you for explaining the real situation to those on here that assume everyone is out to harm animals.
