I don't necessarily know what the population of Cali thinks because I haven't met enough Colombians and I have never met any from Cali. I've met some from Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, Barranquilla, and some rural areas, but never met any from Cali. California has some Colombians but most of the Colombians in the US are on the East Coast.

What do CaliFORNIA people think of greenhorn carpetbaggers?

I think they have ruined our state by changing it from a normal Western state, to a new blue state. It has become another Maryland or another New Jersey, demographically and politically. They have also driven the "Old West" culture into the remaining lightly populated parts of the state. In the 2008 election, urban carpetbaggers voted in a proposition which will likely kill off the remnant of it - I refer to the onerous regulations which now require farmers and ranchers to treat their livestock and poultry like they are running pet hotels.

Are there any people who get offended by "Cali" off line. Never in my life have I seen an actual person get mad or say something when people are saying "Cali". Same goes with "Frisco" nobody cares. Or is it that people are too scared to speak up. Who cares what people call it.

California is becoming Mexico, and you're complaining about people from the East?

I wonder if these people would say "Cali" if they were talking out loud, or if it is just shortened to save typing.

Yo, you know what, I've noticed that nobody cares when you say "Frisco" except for transplants/yuppies. This is the truth. I'm pretty sure the term "Frisco" was coined in San Francisco itself. You guys ever heard of RBL Posse? They are an old school(early to mid 1990s) rap crew from SF, Hunter's Point to be exact, and they use "Frisco" a lot in there songs.
