NMNita--Sorry I got so worked up. Too much coffee...but it is annoying to be led to believe that a place...Santa Fe, New Mexico is supposedly the most fabulous community, pack up, move here, reorganize only to discover this city and the state have a lot of very serious negative issues and hypocrisy. It's my own fault for not doing more research--let this be a warning to anyone else before relocating: Do lots of research--go there--spend time there in the off-season. I am happy for you that you like NMex. !Saludos!

Santa Fe--the only place I've ever been where I found a cockroach floating in my coffee.

If I had a choice ... COMPTON, CA with the Santa Ynez Valley a pretty good second choice.

My great grandmother got married in Compton....we always joke that she had street cred before there was street cred

I've seen a Compton High School yearbook from the 40's. Everyone was white.
