Hello everyone, my name is Desire'e i currently live in the Santa Barbara county and im planning on moving north to a location that best fits my life and intresets, my situation is this, i grew up in the San Fransisco area ( east bay) than moved to the Santa Barbara area, ive been here for 3 years and its just not the place for me or my boyfriend. I have a rare cancerous disorder which prevents me from working and my boyfriend is also my cargiver full time so he dosent work ouside the house so im looking for the best county for disabled citizens, the best county for Social Security and In-Home Support Services( IHSS) the best county for medical assitance for people with medi-cal insuraunce, im looking for an area best for art and mountain biking, a place with all seasons and good climate. no big city but near to everything, so i think i covered it all , if your reading this and have any advice on which area, county or city to live in i would really appreciate it......thank you
Desire'e

Hey, Markablue where are you? I thought your notes said no personal attacks?

Hey, just because someone takes care of a cancer patient doesn't mean they can't go bike riding or enjoy the arts. Sure some folks take care advantage of the system. But I'm not going to judge everyone by that standard. Sick folks still want to enjoy life.

Let's just assume her question about mountain biking was about her boyfriend. I went ahead and deleted out the posts that were not related to finding a town. I will close this thread if it continues to go in the the wrong direction. Thank you.

I would sincerely recommend Chico, CA or anywhere in Butte County where we just moved from. Chico is a university town with lots of support for disabled folks. The town of Paradise is in the foothills and gets snow, but is great for mountain biking. I think you would find it very friendly. Good luck in your search.
