Policy-makers are only as good as their guidance and so far a lot of decisions have been made based on best guesses, and not hard science.
You think Fauci is “part of the problem?”

No. I think he's credible. At least as much as anyone else in the field of immunology/infectious diseases.
It's a matter of there not being a significant amount of time elapsed between winter 2019 and present, and that's just the nature of a novel virus. Since covid is just a cousin of sars/mers and other viruses, we didn't start out completely blind but I wouldn't consider anyone an expert on anything after only half a year.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. Although I’d assign him considerable “expert” status given his years and knowledge and experience with not only infectious disease in general, but also specifically with corona viruses. Certainly each corona virus will have unique characteristics that have to be discovered and “learned” ... but scientists such as Fauci who know corona viruses as a type are better able to learn the unique differences.

Speaking of knowledgable experts with credentials to judge ... um, readers should consider your comments seriously or what reason? In past posts you identify as a real estate broker with a language problem.

The fact that he disagrees with our Supreme Leader, should be enough to fire him.

And you can support your inference that Trump should be regarded more highly than Fauci when considering the science of infectious disease, pandemics / epidemiology, and safeguarding public health - how?

Which has to do with what exactly? In what way does being elected make Trump more knowledgable or trustworthy in medical / disease science ... or a trustworthy caretaker of public health?

There should be one message from federal government, as it stands now every single person says different thing and it confuses the public. Being Trump is the president, ultimately whatever message that comes out should the same that he decides.
