Funny that you say that. Outside air temperature was close to 100℉, i had spent the greater portion the two days prior in a full sun pool and the two days before that driving.

Frankly, I don't think they know much about temperature. We had a bite to eat and when we finished lunch the entire place was freezing! This Idaho girl wanted to step out into the sun!!

I don't know if taking one's temp is a good way to gauge infection. My dad's core temp was 96° (due to an industrial accident many years before). When he he got sick, which was rare, his temp would 98° and if his doctor didn't know his history, he would say he was healthy but he knew better. So that's why taking body temp may work overall but not in all cases.

Casinos should use dogs for screening. (Although if you ask me, casinos shouldn't exist, regardless of viruses.)

Yep. Too many reasons other than illness can raise core temperature, let alone what a non-contact thermometer might show. When we first started back work in schools, it was up to us to perform daily temp checks and sign off for them on a log sheet. This poor young woman I worked with at the time constantly read hot. We just had to ignore it eventually and fudge the number. Other than antigen testing, there is no good way to mass screen people going to busy venues like a hotel/casino/etc.

I looked up the policies of the casino in question and I don't see anything about temp checks so maybe they finally figured out the folly of still doing them. The secondhand smoke should be a bigger concern to anyone with health issues.

I'm not thinking much should exist if we ask you ; movie theaters, grocery stores, casinos, in person schools, indoor dining and the list goes on. No, dogs shouldn't be used on the outside of the casino where the temperatures are above 100℉

I'm glad where I live and get to enjoy life to it's fullest!!

Go post there.

Don't come here to taunt Californians and distort what some of us say. I'm not crazy - people need to shop for food and no very brief activity is likely to result in infection.

Casinos can use tents for dog-based screening. Exempt people who have passed screening or tested negative (with proof) in the past 24 hours. That would be many of the visitors, and no huge number shows up in a short time span anyway unless there is a special event. Compared to other indoor spaces, people spend more time per visit in casinos than almost anywhere and with a relatively high share of elderly (vulnerable) visitors, making it especially imperative to keep the virus out.

I almost forgot this, a part 2 I mentioned
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FbmwAaFW...g&name=900x900

People can get infected very quickly depending on how protected they are, but I assume that's referring to being close to someone infected who is exhaling a lot and "can" doesn't equal "will," plus presumably the chart is designed to sell masks. Also, I personally believe that fit testing doesn't add much in protection over defaulting to tight and full coverage (though tight is uncomfortable and hard to tolerate for hours).

I never said you were crazy. And I can post on any forum of City Data per the 1st amendment.

I literally sat less than two feet from someone in Nov of '20, who tested positive, in my car windows up. Neither of us in mask and he was sneezing, did not get covid. Yes, anyone can get it, however the reports are showing clearly that most who do get it tend to already have compromised immune systems .

Also, I've stated before that we are not immortal and shall all pass some day.
