Hi,

My family is moving to Poway from Pennsylvania. It will be a little of a culture shock for us. We're used to open neighborhoods. Ours has a lot of community stuff (bonfires, fourth of july parades, santa, adult socials, etc)I'd like to find a neighborhood like that. Do you all have fences around your yards? Are you friendly with your neighbors? I'm afraid of being isolated. Any ideas for neighborhoods?

Amy

Have you visited Poway, yet? I actually live in the community called Rancho Penasquitos, which is west of Poway (directly across I-15). I go to Poway all the time. Poway is a city within the county of San Diego. It has a small town feel. There's always community stuff going on there.

Like all cities, there are bad and good places to live there. We actually looked at homes in Poway. Rancho Arbolitos is a nice neighborhood. Sycamore Creek is also nice and is tucked in the hills of Poway. There are also older parts of Poway.

The schools in Poway are in the Poway Unified School District...one of the best in San Diego!

As for fences around yards...only in the backyard. The front yards are usually open.

Good luck!
