Would San Francisco be a good choice to host the 2024 Summer Olympic Games or would other cities be better suited?

It won't happen, not in a trillion years.

The World Cup debacle put an end to any desire SF might ever have had to host an event like the Olympics.

If Ed Lee really thinks he can get SF to go along with this, he needs to have his head examined.

Maybe they can just hold the Olympics in Santa Clara and San Jose and call it the "2024 San Francisco Olympics".

LMAO!

As long as they don't hold them near any city I live in, I'm good.

"Lee said Friday that San Francisco and the Bay Area region has shown it can host some of the world's biggest sporting events. He cited the Giants' victorious World Series runs in 2010 and 2012, the America's Cup races in 2013 and the upcoming Super Bowl 50 in 2016"

That doesn't even compare to something like the Olympics. There simply isn't room in SF to build all the arenas, and could you even imagine how bad the traffic would get? This has to be a joke. I could see them plopping it down near San Jose though that would make way more sense.
